Early Life and Career

On May 17, 1982, William Anthony Parker Jr. was born in Bruges, Belgium to an American father and a Dutch mother. Parker's love for basketball blossomed at an early age, showing great talent and determination on the court.

At 15, he joined INSEP, France's renowned sports academy, where he honed his skills and represented his country in international youth competitions.

NBA Journey and Success

San Antonio Spurs (2001-2018)

In 2001, Parker made history as the first French player drafted into the NBA, selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the 28th overall pick.

Parker established himself as a key player alongside Tim Duncan and Manu GinĂ³bili, forming the "Big Three" trio that led the Spurs to four NBA championships in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014.

He played a pivotal role as a point guard, known for his exceptional speed, ball handling, and court vision.

Charlotte Hornets (2018-2019)

After 17 seasons with the Spurs, Parker signed with the Charlotte Hornets in 2018, bringing his leadership and experience to a young team.

International Career

Parker was a mainstay on the French national team, leading them to a silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
